Design has always been a consistent focal point, creating a blank canvas to showcase the owners personally designed furniture and objects. In order to avoid the typical shiny new apartment aesthetic, the original concrete ceiling and columns were left untouched, adding an edgy and raw atmosphere.

Blending iconic international design with hidden gems, this industrial space is a true reflection of the owner’s taste and style. Design has always been a consistent focal point, creating a blank canvas to showcase the owners personally designed furniture and objects. In order to avoid the typical shiny new apartment aesthetic, the original concrete ceiling and columns were left untouched, adding an edgy and raw atmosphere.

The owner believes in the beauty of contrast, and this is evident in the sitting room’s seating arrangement, centered around a vintage glass and metal coffee table by BoConcept. The morning sun pours in, illuminating the airy concrete ceiling and creating a warm and inviting ambiance.

With a love for all styles, the owners’ design philosophy is centered around surrounding themselves with beautiful things, regardless of their origin or style. This is reflected in the eclectic mix of design brand objects, craft pieces, and traditional ethnic items throughout the space. As the owner explains, if you love them all, they will find their way to be together.

The owners enjoy being surrounded by items that they have personally designed. It’s not just a sense of pride, but also a way to remember the inspiration, design process, and construction of each piece. Extending memories and creating a deeper connection with the space.

One statement piece, irremovable is the Hugo Table, a marble surface with defined edges, balanced on a solid marble column and a round metal construction. Inspired by outdoor concrete tables, that become at one with a country park. This bespoke furniture piece is a meeting point great for gathering around it, lounging, or even dancing on it.

Next to the Hugo marble table is the Cross Buffet, a unique item designed by the owner but never put into production. While this may seem like a missed opportunity, it only adds to the one-of-a-kind nature of the space.

The owner also has a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and the craftsmen they work with. This is evident in the gun metal library-divider separating the open plan room, and the marble linear display construction in the living room, created by skilled artisans. Made with pure white Dionysos marble; serves as a display of the owners most cherished objects. This attention to detail and appreciation for craftsmanship truly sets this industrial space apart.

The bedroom is pared back to its essentials: minimal, quiet, and deliberately positioned as a place of rest. With years of experience, crafting interiors for others, the designers approached their own space with an intuition sharpened by countless projects. After decades of experience, the process becomes instinctive; even a distinctive object/piece knows exactly where it belongs. Here, the black Mingo Mirror—designed by IOSV Studio for the Zaira Collection—interrupts neutrality with intention. The Zola side table grounds/anchors the room with its earthy presence, while the Plus Minus light by Vibia casts a quiet glow beside the bed. The result is effortless and peaceful.
